Johnny Summerall
Senior Pastor
Johnny & Janice were both born and raised in Waycross. Both their families attended church at wfa, formerly known as First Assembly of God. They attended youth group together and were married at wfa.
In 1994, Johnny became the pastor of wfa. Johnny & Janice count it a privilege to serve as Pastors of their home church.
They have two children, Bekki and Chip. Bekki is married to Charlie Perkins and they have 3 children. Chip is married to Miranda.
Dorothea Boatright
Children's Pastor & Financial Secretary
Dorothea (Aka "Thea") has been very involved in ministry as far back as she can remember - she is the third generations of Carters in Ministry. Growing up in church, she always enjoyed it but never thought that she would be in full time ministry as a single woman. Thea attended Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, pursuing Early Childhood Education, while working part time as a Children's Pastor in Jesup, GA.
In 2008 Thea graduated with her Associates in General Studies and began pursing ministry classes at the Georgia School of Ministry in Macon, GA. She realized that God had called her full time and joined the WFA staff in March of 2008. In December 2012 Thomas and Thea were married and now have two boys, David & Jonathan.
Shane & Ambie Watson
Worship Pastors
An anointed couple with a heart to serve, Shane and Ambie both grew up serving in church. They married in 2009 and have since traveled together leading worship at various churches, as well as serving in youth ministry.
Shane and Ambie are passionate about leading worship and have penned several original songs. They both have a calling to share the gospel through music and the Word. Shane and Ambie found their home at WFA in 2017 and now serve as the Worship Pastors. Shane and Ambie, along with their children, Jared and Alaina Beth, make their home in Blackshear.
Jacob & Joy Comer
Youth & Young Adults Pastors
Jacob was born in a pew, and grew up in church. He graduated and met Joy at The University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville PA. He knew at a young age that God was calling him to be in ministry.
Jacob and Joy joined us in May of 2021, their heart is for young people. They have been doing ministry together for 10 years. They Love people and everything but just not seafood. But their biggest Love other than God and their family is COFFEE. They have three beautiful children, Ellianna, Kinslie, and Axton. Jacob loves sports, the outdoors and shooting things, and Joy is amazing at anything the involves crafts.
